doggie.designs COVID19 Policies and Client Expectations

Thank you for scheduling your appointment with doggie.designs, and for your patience as we try to keep up with an unprecedented demand for services. doggie.designs has always taken our role in our community seriously. As an essential, life-sustaining service for pets, while we understand that many have conflicting issues with some recommended practices, we ask that our clients respect those who are high risk who simply cannot avoid taking their pet to the groomer, or have no one to do it for them. For these clients, and for ourselves and our extremely high-risk family members, we have a zero-tolerance policy for ignoring these precautions. There will be fees associated with the refusal to comply with these policies, and/or a refusal of services.

We have updated our policies to now allow clients to enter the salon for drop-off, and we are now accepting all forms of payment again. Anyone who prefers to continue with the old practice of dropping off at the door or contactless payment via email may do so. While we will be allowing clients bringing their pets for nails trim services to remain in the lobby during the short time the service takes, we ask that clients do not stay for a full groom until further notice.

We are allowing walk-ins for nail trims and other short services again, but we do request a call ahead in the rare case of certain time frames being overloaded.

Agreement to the following statements is required;

I understand that I am required to wear a mask or face covering CORRECTLY at all times while inside the salon. This means my mask covers my nose.

I understand that if I choose not to wear a mask or face covering, I MUST complete drop off outside the salon, no exceptions. 

I understand that if I enter the salon without a face cover, or without wearing my face covering properly, there will be a $20 sanitizing fee to cover time spent cleaning, product, and risk. No exceptions. 

I understand that if someone else other than myself is dropping off or picking up my pet, it is my responsibility to pass all pertinent policy information to them. Having someone else dropping off my pet cannot exclude me from any possible fees, and I am responsible for those fees, not the person dropping off. 

$ LATENESS, LAST-MINUTE CANCELLATIONS, NO-CALL NO-SHOW FEES $

Due to many pets being overdue, the "haven't had a groom all winter" grooms, the extra time spent sanitizing, and trying to fit as many pets in a day as possible, our schedule is extremely tight. Lateness will always back up every single appointment past yours, and cause our staff to work extra time. The time range you will see on your automated confirmation message will have your drop off time first, then the automated end time, which is not guaranteed and is only to keep online booking from overbooking. Cancelling at the last minute, or not showing up for your appointment, will result in loss of income, which small businesses cannot afford to overlook. It is also, frankly, disrespectful to your grooming staff as well as those clients who would have taken that appointment time in an instant in order to gain relief for their beloved furry family. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows leave us no time to fill that appointment slot and make up the lost revenue, and no way to get ahead of our backed-up appointments.

I understand that if I arrive more than 5 minutes late for drop off, I will be charged at a rate of $1 for every 2 minutes late. 

I understand that if I cancel last minute (less than 2 hours before my scheduled appointment), or do not arrive to my appointment without notice, I will be sent an invoice via email for a fee of no less than 25% of my scheduled groom, not including add-on services. 

Matting - I understand that due to tight scheduling, doggie.designs is currently not brushing out matting, and mats will be shaved to allow time for other pets to have services that are not rushed.
