Katie
Katie Fisher is the owner and head groomer at doggie.designs. She knew from a young age that she was always going to work with animals. Her original dream was to be a veterinarian, which she told everyone she could when she got her first dog, a Shih Tzu named Molly, at 8 years old. Katie started her grooming career at 16, and soon realized that Molly’s multitude of health issues could have been more easily prevented, had she been better educated on pet care. Molly had gingivitis and loose teeth, digestive problems, and skin issues that never fully went away. While learning the ins and outs of grooming, she also learned about supplements, common allergens, and the side effects of dental problems. Eventually she came to the conclusion that she could make a bigger difference in the overall health of many animals by changing her dream and becoming a groomer, dedicated to helping and educating her human clients, so they can make better choices for their furry family members.
Katie started her career at Jake’s Dog House in her hometown of Marlton in June of 2009 as a bather/brusher. She moved on to corporate life in January of 2011 at Moorestown Petsmart, where she was able to learn grooming under a talented instructor with a background in showing and competing. Katie moved on to Monster Pets of Audubon in February of 2016, and remained there until she opened doggie.designs in October of 2019, after Monster Pets closed that summer.
Amanda
Amanda has been working in the animal care industry since 2011 and brings over 15 years of experience to the salon. After graduating from grooming academy, she now serves as our Manager and Receptionist. She loves decorating the salon, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and spending time with her two dogs at home. She is a schnauzer and pit bull fan, known for being organized, and always ready to embrace the organized chaos of salon life!
Morgan
Morgan joined the salon in 2021 and began grooming within her first year. With a lifelong love for animals and experience working in a veterinary office and pet sitting, she brings a caring and knowledgeable approach to every pet she works with. She especially excels in Yorkie haircuts and enjoys cat grooming. Outside of the salon she loves hiking, crafting, and spending time with her four cats and two snakes.
Lea
Lea started her career in 2017 at a salon in Pa, later joining the Doggie Designs crew in 2022, where she then became a full time groomer within the year. Her favorite part of grooming is helping anxious dogs and puppies feel safe through patience, compassion, and a calm approach. She has a deep love for animals and art, and enjoys combining both through her work. Her favorite breeds to groom are Cavalier King Charles and Shih Tzus. Outside of work she enjoys spending her time with her husband, and daughter (and very soon newborn son, as she’s currently on maternity leave), as well as their two cats and parrot!
Kirsten & Gus
Kirsten joined the grooming industry in 2020 and loves creating a safe and comfortable experience for every pet in her care. She most enjoys outline trims on double coated pups, and hopes to one day have a grooming business of her own. Her dog, Gus, is our friendly salon mascot, always ready to greet clients and make new friends! Outside of the salon she enjoys spending time with Gus and her other pets, including a bunny, three geckos and fish.
Brandon
Brandon has been around animals since he was very young, following in his mom’s footsteps and discovering a passion for the profession himself. He enjoys the hands-on work of bathing and caring for the dogs, and is currently in training to groom. He especially loves Bulldogs and wire-haired breeds. Outside of the salon he enjoys spending time with his dog, Bro, and is a big car enthusiast.
